Today is not only the first day of summer it is also the longest day of the year and to celebrate the summer solstice of 2019 I have decide to spend my frugal Friday at the community pool in my city.

I live in Union City, NJ. It is a very diverse community full of culture just two miles away from New York City. We have a couple of indoor pools accessible all year round and one glorious outdoor pool open just a few months a year.
The park features a kiddie pool, Olympic sized swimming pool and breathtaking views of NYC. In the peak of summer when the kids are out of school it gets packed and there is a wait. I enjoy the off peak adult swim hours. The admission is FREE to all Hudson County residents.
