This past weekend I was lucky enough to fan out at the Heroes and Villains Fan Fest in NY/NJ. I never thought of myself as one of the nerds that might be into this but, I am! I also thought I would never be interested in going to a Renaissance Festival, I was wrong about that too. (Obviously, I am a nerd).
When I got there I didn’t know what to expect. I knew there would be some panels, vendors and the stars of some of my favorite shows signing autographs and taking photos with fans. I walked around amongst all the cool stuff and costumed people. I saw a tattoo section and immediately knew I wanted an arrow tattoo. I was in fact there because of the Arrow’s show influence on me. So, why not. I did it. I got a dainty little arrow tattoo from a tough tattoo artist.
It was a really great weekend that ended with a photo op with Stephen Amel. Photo ops are pretty pricey and happen so fast. You can also purchase a selfie and/or autograph. I witnessed the stars actually interacting with their fans; a real meet and greet. Next time, and there will be a next time I am definitely opting for a selfie and some one on one time. What great fun. More fun than I could have ever expected.
