Frugal Friday at the Community Pool

Today is not only the first day of summer it is also the longest day of the year and to celebrate the summer solstice of 2019 I have decide to spend my frugal Friday at the community pool in my city.

Fire Fighter Memorial

I live in Union City, NJ. It is a very diverse community full of culture just two miles away from New York City. We have a couple of indoor pools accessible all year round and one glorious outdoor pool open just a few months a year.

The park features a kiddie pool, Olympic sized swimming pool and breathtaking views of NYC. In the peak of summer when the kids are out of school it gets packed and there is a wait. I enjoy the off peak adult swim hours. The admission is FREE to all Hudson County residents. 1. I miss our community pool. My kids and I spent every summer day in the pool for yrs until they out grew it and was able to go other places on their own. Its closed now being replaced with a new pool by next summer. you community pool looks so beautiful . The view is beautiful as well. enjoy!
